  • In some situations, yes

The immediate result of going to war, is, of course, not peace, but in the long run, war is often necessary to create lasting peace and stability. A perfect example of this is World War Two. The spinelessness of the great powers following World War One was what allowed the fascists to take control and build their nearly world conquering armies. When war destroys tyrannical and agressive governments, it does indeed promote peace.

  • In a way... Yes.

Not everyone agrees with war but we have to open our eyes to the fact that war is inevitable. Human race was made to fight. I do believe that peace should be the answer but in someone else's eyes. It will never happen. War is hell, but freedom is worth the price.

  • Sometimes peace must be enforced

When Hitler invaded Austria and Poland, everyone stood by and did nothing. Only when he encroached into France did the rest of the powers stand up and fight. Thus, not going to war in this instance is actually promoting war while going to war was a pursuit of peace. There are numerous examples of this in history. War in of itself is not bad. It is the goal or reason for going to war that defines its morality.

  • Starting a war might be our only chance but only as last resort

For many years people stood by and allowed their rights and freedom be governed by others and if starting a war might allow people to take back what's there and to ensure peace as other countries will know not to mess with them. In ww2 Germany in their darkest times were able to start a great war even though what hitler was doing was bad it helped Germany to get better.

  • Brings Good Results

I know that war brings deaths and destruction but you must see the war from a different angle. Soldiers who goes to fight in the war truly wants to die for their country. You can take the examples of World War 1 & 2. Several people died only to give their coming generations a bright future and a peaceful world to live in. The result (which we could see) is just what they wanted. PEACE.....................

  • War is a destroyer of Peace.

Peace comes only by negotiation. There shall ,always , be win win situation. Some terms shall be accepted by one party and some by the others. War is a crime against innocent people. And is of no use. Always leave a scar on both the parties. The concept that I am better than other always create a war situation rather equality grow the flowers of peace,

  • War never leads to peace

Take a look at our two World Wars. They have proved that wars cause major suffering and drain coffers - in fact, the only reason that World War I ended was because most of the countries involved were exhausted and fed up, and begged their leaders for a ceasefire to be called. Wars would be endless if it was not for humanity's own limits. Think about it - if we had unlimited resources, would wars ever end? We'll never reach peace by fighting. In fact, peace seems to be the last thing we're ever going to achieve.

  • Peace cannot come from War

Peace cannot come from war because even if there is peace after a war, it won't last forever. Often, after a war, there is still a group that survives from the previous ruler. They will try to get sufficient forces and convince people to their side so that they can rebel and get what they want. If they succeed, the process could repeat itself.

  • It is silly

Going to war and murdering for peace, it's like fucking for virginity, it makes absolutely no sense, granted there are some rare exceptions like when germany comes to take over your country, however none of the wars in the US hold that exception, they didn't try to talk they simply invaded, they invaded and bombed a country like terrorist for peace.

  • No,it only destroys it

War not only traumatizes people but brings fear and lost. You witness the ones you love die. War can leave a physical scare, but anger can leave a mental scare that never fades away .War is a violent act that should never be used, but people us it as a last resort or as a first resort if they feel endangered.

  • An eye for an eye only makes the whole world blind

Like Gandhi said, war never leads to peace. Why would anyone think that murdering people and their families will lead to everyone living in peace. Even if war brings an end to the current conflict it only brings around more hatred and anger as people want revenge for their dead fathers, mothers or children, wives and husbands and siblings. After war there are always more wars. The Great War, the War to end ALL WARS was followed two decades later by WWII.

  • War destroys everything

War can never create peace. The people who think war is the way to world peace is absurd. War only leads to other wars. Peace was, is and shall be maintained. God wanted all of us to live in peace. War is a way to destroy life on earth. Peace is the only way to live.

  • Of course not

War does not lead to Peace, war is in fact the opposite of peace. Being forced to go to war to ensure peace does not magically mean that war creates peace. Peace can and will exist without war as long as there is no reason for war. If people like Hitler were unable to rise to power then war will simply be a thing of history and fiction for future generations.
