## It would make kids work harder.

We should be paid because we work so hard every year to get good grades. It will encourage kids to get good grades and work harder. I feel that if we did get paid, many kids would not be skipping school and would actually want to come to school. I am debating this topic because I would come to school way more!

## There are only good pros and cons that don't matter

* Teachers are preparing us for the future. Well getting paid for good work is in our the future.

* A lot of children are getting an allowance for just doing chores, good grades are one of a child's responsibilities. Why not get paid for it too?

* Money is a pretty good motivator for just about anyone for anything. 100 000$ to eat alive insects? Count me in, I'm there. 15$ dollars for an A, easy as pie.

* Who doesn't want extra cash? Maybe kids wouldn't have to keep asking for their parents money all the time. The rewards can show them how to value their earned money.Posted by: brittany.hercon## Hi hello hello hello hello hello hello hello hello

## A reward would be great!

When we go to school most of us don't think of doing our very best because we don't think we're working for anything and when parents say that we're working for good grades or "our future" we just roll our eyes... But if we had a reward that we get for good grades then personally i would work way harder than i do right now! By a 7th grader

## They should be paid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course that the students should be paid. If they work hard, they should be paid at least 50$ each. It is way to terrible if they get bad grades. If they are being paid to get good grades, so be it! Consider it, Ecole micisaac school! Sincerely, Samuel Moore.

## No. You pros fail to realize what school is about.

School is about responsibility and teaching those who are willing and able to pass to do so and teach those who do not want to pass to have average capabilities. What does it say about a school that gives money to their students in order to convince them to have better grades? Desperate. What does it say about a child who gets money in return for good grades? That they are not focused on what they should be focused on in school.

Posted by: CharlottePrynne## No and because

If students get paid for good grades , they would take school as a way to earn money!

Of course it will help them focus. But on money not school! They will develop a bad habit. When they grow up, they will want to get paid for the ways the do for a living. Who will pay them then?## No They Should Not

Students should not be paid for good grades. Doing well in school is expected and cash rewards should not be given for something you're expected to do. Schools do a great job of recognizing students who do well, so there is no need to pay kids who do well in class.

Posted by: MichaelKnight1## No, students should not be paid for good grades.

Students should be paid for the work they put in and that doesn't always add up to good marks. Some kids can study all day, practice and try while other kids put in little simply because the work comes easy to them. It's wrong not to reward those children who may struggle but still work hard, at least, in the same way.

## Should students get paid in school??????????

They thought that mybe the money might make a differance, but it did not. Kids get paid for good behaiver not bad behaiver. My position is that students should not be paid in school. Students should be only be rewared for true achievment not for simply showing up for school or taking a test. Some students have their minds on the money in stead of school work and home work or classwork.

When people thought that students get paid in school would modivate the students, the results were may have met or have not met what they (reaschers, scienticts, ect.) thought. This is what Olivia.Baddoninnes said: “Plus, you never know when they could be cheating off someone's papers and tests and they could be getting paid for someone else's work.” This means that they (the kids or students) could cause theyto have finance problems and lie about that they did it by themselfs. “But, while it might re-ignite kids’ motivation in the short term, we need to reinforce their intrinisc motivation to see lasting reults,” Weller says. After 4 years, officles saw no improvement and cancled the program. This means that the officials cancled it cause their was no improvement.## Gfggfggfgg rgf fg gf

## They'll do anything for that money.

If you started getting paid to get good grades, wouldn't you start doing anything to get those good grades? I know I would. I'd probably start cheating, paying off the teachers to give me good grades, or getting some nerd to do my homework for me. In such a case, students would simply learn how to properly cheat --- not how to properly learn.

## Stealing our future.

Really? You pros seriously have to be bribed in order to get an education? That's sad. This generation has to be bribed in order to receive a noteworthy education? School is boring at times, yes. But you shouldn't stay awake just for money. When you are out of college and you have become accustomed to people giving you money, who will pay you then?
