CCTV captures the moment 'an election official stuffs a pile of voting papers in to a ballot box' in Russia: Is Russia really a democracy?

  • No responses have been submitted.
  • No way, no how

No way , no how is Russia a real democracy. Vladimir Putin is a tyrant who annexes countries whenever he feels. He has been quoted as saying that he likes communistic ideals very much. Putin has been in power for many years and will be in power for years to come, by any means necessary.

  • No, its not.

Russia is not really a democracy. It is a little more democratic than it once was, but it definately not a democracy. This ballot stuffing incident is likely one of many that has been going on in Russia for years. It just happened to be the first time someone got caught doing it.

  • A few people run it.

They say in socialism, everyone is equal, but then some are more equal than others. This is the case in Russia. Russian officials do what they have to do in order to keep power. They feel that it is done for the good of everyone, even if it is not what the people want. Change will come slowly to Russia.

  • No, Russia is not really a democracy.

No, Russia is not really a democracy. Putin get 80 to 90 percent of the vote every time. Why? He rigs the elections and continues to be the president of a failing country. He has his enemies killed and does not allow those who disagree to have a say on election day.
