The problem with celebrities is that they are surrounded by sycophants that tell them they are great all day every day. Too often they give into that praise and start to think that they have some reason to opine. Mr. Trump will be able to hold up Hollywood's collective disdain for him as yet another piece of evidence that he is fighting for the common man against a rigged system.
The fact that celebrities are not coming out to see Trump at his inauguration should be worn by trumpet as a badge of honor. Celebrities are so far removed from what the actual common man thanks that their words should whole very little water at all. Trump was elected by the common man, not celebrities.
He can try to portray himself that way all he wants, but his lavish lifestyle and huge bankroll show differently. Of course he's going to spin it that way, and of course there are some people who aren't bright enough to figure out he's full of malarky, but that's just how Trump and his political campaign and career work.
A lack of celebrities at the inauguration will not help Trump portray himself as being in touch with the common man. One could extrapolate that idea and make the argument. However, the every man likes to see celebrities and may even relate to certain ones. To not see those individuals that are a part of Americans everyday escapism will only disappoint Americans.
