I do not feel he is good enough to be placed in a hall of fame. He was a very good player, but very good should not be the criteria that is used to be placed into the hall of fame. We need to up our standards a bit, I think.
Yes, Prince Fielder will be elected into the Hall of Fame because he is one of the greatest power hitters of his generation with over 300 home runs. He also has a really good batting average of .283. He will not be a first ballot hall of famer, but he will eventually get in because he has never had steroid allegations and he would have had more home runs if he didn't have to retire early.
Yes, there is a good chance that Prince Fielder will be elected into the Hall of Fame. His salary alone suggests how good of a player he is. He has been in the league and has been a quality player even though he is reportedly having recurring neck problems this year.
Although Prince Fielder has had an impressive career his neck issues have left him with a mediocre last season and a career that ended far too early. Fielder's stats put him right on the edge of being worthy for induction into the Hall of Fame but not quite enough to be elected.
