Corporate personhood: Do corps generally qualify for personhood/rights?

  • No responses have been submitted.
  • No they shouldn't

I do not think that corporations should qualify for personhood or rights. Corporations are not people and should not be treated as such. There is something wrong when corporations are treated like people. Corporations need to take responsibility for their actions and they need to be treated accordingly for what they actually are.

  • Corporations are not people

Soylent green may be people, but corporations are not. Treating corporations as people has already had negative effects on our political system. Corporations should not be aloud to donate to political campaigns. Politicians are one of the defenses people have against the wrongs of corporations. So much legislation affects how corporations do business, that corporations should not be aloud to affect how politicians do business. Every member of that particular organization, already has the ability to contribute and vote.
