Debaters: Is "First-round acceptance" better than jumping straight in?

Asked by: MysticEgg
  • It is better.

First-round acceptance allows the instigator to hold the meat of his argument in reserve. This is so the contender can't see the argument first and have more time to find things to refute it with.
