Developed countries have a higher obligation to combat climate change: Do developed states have a greater obligation to use their leadership?
  • Yes they do.

Developed states have a much greater obligation to use their leadership to combat climate change. Less developed states do not have as much impact on climate change as the larger states do, so they are less obligated. Developed states are the main cause, so it is just that they use their leadership.

  • No, each state controls their own population

Each state is different and the citizens want different things. Sharing ideas is wonderful and helpful. Citizens can and should make sure to inform their representative of their desires. If the representative does not fulfill those desires they should vote for a new one in the future. While climate change is important this is definitely an item for each state to control individually.
