  • Biblical and genetic Eve

Genetic Eve or Mitochondrial Eve. Whether or not you believe the bibles story of creation, there is a common scientific view of a common female ancestor. This so named 'Eve' likely did exist. Evolution, has many flaws. E.G. Genetic Complexity, denigration of genetics, not the theory of racial degeneration itself. Flaws with carbon dating and other such methods. Cooled lava has often been misidentified as being millions of years, rather than a relatively short period.

  • it is in history documents

I wonder why people believe that the bible is the only document that is not correct. That only shows that atheist only believe what they want to believe. They don't look at the facts, they only look at the facts that say god does not have to exist. E e

  • What About Mitochondrial Eve?

Ever hear of Mitochondrial Eve? We can trace genetic lineage back to a single individual. As for the claims of incest, the law against incest Biblically wasn't given until Moses because people lived on average around 900 years until the Flood (Genesis 5) when lifespan began steadily declining to its present day maximum of about 120 years. (Genesis 6:3) Therefore, it wasn't incest since siblings could be centuries apart in age, family units were far different than they are today.

  • Adam = love+hapiness

ADAM was GODs masterpiece. EVE was his only mistake; and that too the biggest. ADAM was created in GODs own image. GOD gave him 2 feelings LOVE and HAPPINESS. ADAM was simple. He was able to love everything in EDEN ( HEAVEN) and lived happily and in harmony with all the living and non-living things. GOD was happy with his creation. He felt ADAM needed a companion. So he created EVE. GOD did not give EVE any feelings. EVE possessed all the feelings man could ever have. EVE was powerful disobeyed GOD. The original SIN. GOD punished EVE by cursing that she will bear the fruits of SIN ( HUMAN RACE).
All Humans have the 2 feelings of their father ADAM and the remaining feelings which they inherited from their mother EVE. We suffer because we are the children of EVE. We humans have love and happiness deep within us because are also children of ADAM.
Salvation means eternal happiness and love. We being ADAMs children can attain that since it is the two feelings that we inherited from our father. But we have to remove all the other feelings that we have which we inherited from our mother.
All religions preach the same underlying principle; the only way out of this misery and attain eternal bliss is to be left with the 2 feelings of our father ADAM.

  • You weren't there so you can never say for certain

Technically you cant prove that they never did exist. Yes, it's improbable, but it still could have happened so I'm not putting my foot down and saying it didn't happen, I'm saying that it very well could have and I have no idea if it did or not and neither do you.

  • Yes, but they probably weren't called Adam and Eve

Here I'm not referring to the Adam and Eve of the Bible, but to the first two humans. It's ridiculous to say that they could have never existed; there would need to be a man and a woman so the human race could even begin. Of there wasn't, how would we all be here today?

  • Of course not.

The Genesis tales, written in the eighth century BCE, were near direct retellings of older mythology of the region. In particular, both the Adam and Eve story and the Noahide flood myth are taken from the Sumerian "Epic of Gilgamesh".
It is also biologically impossible for our entire species to come from a single mating pair. And of course the fact that we know that Homo sapiens originated in Ethiopia around 195,000 years ago.

  • It's just not possible.

“And how did Adam and Eve's family grow? The only answer is incest, but that wouldn't work because you can't create all life with only two parents and their children....Too much mixing in the gene pool. The children would start to have birth defects and die early, not to mention many would be sterile, even if they survived enough to long mate. Which means...The Adam and Eve story was made up."

  • Bro, do you even genetic variation?

The idea that all of the world's human beings could come from just 1 breading pair 6,000 years ago and A.) could have this much variation and B.) not all suffer from serious inbreeding related diseases is idiotic at best. If this were the case people if not wiped out by their inbreeding would be destroyed by 1 disease very VERY quickly.

  • An Obvious "No"

First of all, there is an incredible lack of evidence that the events in the story ever took place.

Secondly, many modern day Christians admit that the story is metaphoric.

Finally, we have a very good understanding of where modern day humans came from; it was not the Garden of Eden.

  • They did not exist, at least not literally.

There is no evidence that every human alive is descended from two people. All the scientific evidence shows is that humans have evolved over billions of years to the stage we are in now. However, the story of Adam and Eve in the Bible can be seen as a symbolism for the relationships between both genders.

  • No, they did not.

This charming bit of incestuous Catholic mythology is not feasible. Inbreeding is only genetically tolerable within two generations, at the best. If this was the start of the human race, we would all look like something out of a Troma film. Instead, they are the rewrite of a very old concept of the place of the male and female essence in creation.

  • Adam and Eve folklore

Human beings have been storytellers. Especially before scientific thinking, we felt reassured with some imaginative fireside tales of how we came to be.

A few stories propagated to the present because the authors were likely more influential. All of the books of the Bible were passed on from one generation to the next.

  • Yes and No

The story of Adam and Eve, from a logical perspective, did almost certainly not happen (talking serpents, fruits that will make an immortal, all powerful being want to kill you and bring suffering upon all your descendants, humans living up to 980 years old in the generation houses were invented; it sounds like a kiddie fairy tale). However, the question does not appear to only mean the christian creation story. The idea that there there must have been the first of every species, e.g. the Chicken and the Egg 'Paradox' solution, is valid at first glance. From an evolutionary point of view, the egg was born from an almost-chicken, hatched into the first chicken, making a new species. There certainly was a first human, otherwise the Chicken and the Egg 'Paradox' would actually be a paradox, and paradoxes are generally considered impossible.

However, 'Adam and Eve' could not exist, due to problems caused by lack of genetic variation. After the second generation, there could be almost no healthy reproduction, due to lack of new genetic material, and then (to simplify it bit (huge amounts)) bad things start happening. The genetic material is corrupted, meaning 'Adam and Eve's' grandchildren are disabled in various ways, and unless they can find other genetic material in another human who is not of close family, and who does not have corrupted DNA, their descendants will also be disabled, and on and on.

In philosophical terms. This is probably an unfair question as it makes it an unfair question for debate but that is not my intention to ask such a question. It is only to make you think. If God is the creator, then 'God our creator, has created Science, and with that he has given Man the gift of knowledge to obtain the knowledge of Evolution and DNA evidence. So in time, God knowingly knows that man will one day discover and present DNA evidence to the world. When Man has finally reached that milestone of DNA evidence through the use of science, God knowingly knows then that man will use that knowledge obtained from Science to prove the scripture written in the bible about the creation of Adam and Eve and how man came to be created, and so that it simply does not fit truth with the DNA evidence that man has now discovered.

So how do we know then. That when Man discovered DNA evidence through the use of science that God himself has created for Man. That Man will then begin to question God's creation of the beginning of Man, as a test from God himself, to test our faith in him (God)?
