  • Time we create is earth rotation

So if time expands so there is a problem with earth rotation which is considered as a scale for counting time so in space ship that its speed near the speed of light should count the time by a device that counts the rotation of earth not other devices affected by gravity or very high velocities

  • Humans invented time

What we percieve as time is nothing more than sequence of events. It is an illusion created by our minds: we see everything in nature is changing, all living things have a beggining and an end, they deteriorate and die. The Earth is constantly moving and spinning. But the main part of the illusion for us is probably the generations shift and human civilization progress, the progress and changing of human thought. People live, than they die and their children continue living, then they die and so on. But it's not because of time passing- we die because of our deterioration. Our bodies have a purpose to fulfill: to create another humans. After fertile period, we slowly deteriorate till death. Like other animals. The time does not have a part in our deteriorating, it is the breaths we take, the amount of heartbeats, wearing out of organs and body parts.
We have the practical need to count how many times the Earth spun, giving every spin a number,(year) counting smaller fractions of it (days) etc. It gives us a sense of depth, like "time passed". We feel like we are "closer" to recent events and "further away" from things that happened the more times Earth spun in between. It gives us also the possibility to organize ,plan precisely and to achieve togetherness and precision of things we need to do together.
But really, there is no need to add "time" to that equasion. The time as a physical forse does not have a purpose and a part in this world.

  • Theory of time

Humans created time and now live with time. Time is now has a meaning and a purpose to our existence of life for example we saw things develop and evolve and we gave what we saw a name time it Is a word created by man that had grown throughout makind. Time is now in our existence and till mankind ceasts to exist when our existence ends time will end with it as will everything else that we have created if there is a beginning there is an end were there is life there is death to live is to die to die is to have lived man gave a name for everything that exists that we could see to give it a name like trees fish water plants etc you get the point the word time was created by man and then man created the clock to show that time exists if we see we believe that it exists but it does not exist

  • Of course as a concept.

When you think of Big bang, there was a lot of mass in a small area. Now when it sort of blew up, then "time" begun. But is the time exactly how we see it? Stars born, live and die. But it is only because of chemical reactions, so maybe the time we see is not real as what there is in space? Who knows... Humans born, live and die for chemical reactions too, so maybe time is more of a physical than abstract concept.

  • As a tool for measurement, is all.

Time is a handy measurement tool for our day to day life and an invention that probably resulted from becoming a sentient species. In our case, in a base-10 system on this specific planet with a 24h daily cycle, orbiting around "our" sun in 365 days.

On a more galactic scale, time becomes alot different. And that is were most of the "popular" notions about time become blurred to people.
    Gravity affects "time"
Two of the same atomic clocks, that run the same will give different results when one of them is cyrcling in a plane on a higher altitude then the other clock. These differences are minimal, but the differences would even increase the more far the clock would be from the earth's gravity pull. For example on a spaceship in space.
The clock that stayed on earth would tick more slowly because of the stronger gravitational pull.

But would that spaceship enter the orbit of a more heavy object then earth, the pull would increase and make that clock run slower then the one that stayed behind. There should be tests made with real atomic clocks to find out a more accurate result in time differences and add that data to our current understanding about the impact of gravity.

Calling time a 4th dimension, isn't really accurate.... Or atleast not how the popular vision from mainstream society about it is. Not sure if spacetime is really a thing.... Or just a measurement for the universe's logical expansion.

  • Yes we did

I think if we all take the time to think about it time was first created due to the fact humans didnt have an accurate way of telling other humans when to get to destinations so.. I think one day one person decided to sit back and time their heart beat for a full day ( aka sunrise to sunset) at its most relaxed state then they calcuated that into seconds, mins and hours , etc and thats how I think it started.

  • "Time" is a measurement made by us as we watch things move around in space. It is not a flowing substance. It is a ruler.

Speed is the division of distance traveled by the "time" required to get there. If I am traveling at 60 km/hr I can travel 60 kilometers in one hour. Distance is a single thing that can remain untraveled. I can know that it is 60 km to work without actually taking the time to drive there at any speed at all. Distance = Speed x Time. Time and speed on the otherhand are permantly locked into a relationship with each other. Speed = Distance / Time. Time = Distance / Speed. You can't measure speed without knowing how long it will take to get somewhere, and you can't measure time without knowing how fast you are going to cover a distance. I.E., to measure time you need to divide distance by speed, but remember speed is the division of distance divided by time. Speed is not a single thing. It is the relationship of distance and time. You have to divide distance by speed, which requires you divide distance by the division of distance by time, and you need to divide that by distance divided by time, etc., etc.. This goes on FOREVER! It is an infinite regress. It is an unending equation because you never get to a substance called "time", because it simply does not exist. Speed does not exist either. For example, if you were a single speck in an infinite universe where nothing exists, there is no way of knowing how fast you are going. But throw in another dot, and you can measure distance. In this universe, if one of the dots starts to move towards the other you'd think you could measure speed but which one of the dots is moving? It's impossible to tell...There is nobody else around in space...There is no third point of reference. So let's throw in a third dot that watches the other two. If the first dot seems to be standing still and the second dot appears to be moving, then we can say that the second dot is moving towards the first. However to keep track of how far the second dot has moved we need at least one more point of reference so we know how far the second dot has moved. The first dot as gives us position and the second dot giving us distance. To measure one dot's movement towards the other we need a home base to see where it has traveled from and we need somebody watching the whole drama unfold. We could think of the four points in our imaginary universe as being the four dimentions; length, width, height and time (the fourth dimention). We need that observer for the fourth dimention to occur and that observer is US! Time is the observation of things moving around in space and quantifying that movement by compairing it to other things in space. Time is the human observation of the change of position of one thing compaired to the movement of another thing.

  • We did not create time!

Time was not created by humans, time has always been here. All humans did was add figures to time, therefore we did not create time. Animals could tell time by the sun and moon, they did not tell time by numbers. As did all humans tell time by the sun and moon long before figures was invented.

  • God made time for us so we didn't have to waste our own time doing it

I believe in god some humans are smarter than others but we are not smart enough do to that. If we were I don't think we would know how to figure it out. All in all god believed in us but he made us how we are. Thank you very much.

  • Time Has Always been Here

Time is not something you create. We didn't say, oh, well, there are 60 minutes in an hour and that's that. No, time is like God. Has always been here, is here, and will always be here. The sun has always set and has always rised, and the moon has always been up in the night sky. We have always had life on Earth. Always. Humans have definitely not ever created time, because we have not been here since the dawn of time. Animals were here before us, we evolved from them. To create time, we would of had to be here from the beginning. When the moon and the sun and the universe really, was created. We defiantly did not create time, and if you disagree, I don't know what's wrong with you.

  • We did not create. It

The reason we did not create time is because the sun has always risen and fallen we have made a measure of creating time that I agree with, but that does not mean that that we created time. Cavemen had time, but that does not mean that they had a way to measure it.

  • If time is a sequence of events....

If humans created time, then if there were no humans, then it follows that there would have been no time? That doesn't seem rational. If humans never existed then there would have been no events in the universe is false . Therefore humans could not have created time. They however did create TImex watches that take a licking and keep on ticking. Who licks watches? What was that marketing guy thinking?

Time is just a different type of measurement that humans invented , there is only now anything and everything only ever happens now , and deterioration that's why you can never travel back in time as soon as your borne as soon as something is created it deteriorate you can't rewind that this existence is not recorded on a video tape that you can rewind and relive I can't believe that physicists think that it's even remotely possible to travel back in time , future travel is possible because you can slow down the deterioration process , so time does not exist because there is only now right now existence is not recorded
