  • I know what I know

He's a jealous bully type and couldn't take her talking or dating others. So when a jealous argument started she became afraid of him and ran into the bathroom to escape. He threatened to kill her if she didn't come out and started screaming. He got angry that she would dare do this and we all know the rest

  • He killed her out of jealousness

Out of jealousness is the root of the premeditated murder. He is a poor linking dude with a little dead brain. Sorry for the innocent Reeve and her family. I feel sorry each time l see her mother in court. I am also afraid of the corrupt black female judge. Life in prison and spend 55 years in prison before considering him for payroll

  • Of course hes guilty!

More holes in his story than in a swiss cheese. Nothing adds up, nothing!

They had a fight, she tried to leave, he threw her jeans out of the window and she locked herself in the toilet in fear. He used the BAT first, tried to break down the door but couldnt, anger rose in him and he got his gun and killed her. Simple as.

Surprisingly, I feel some pity for him, the " golden boy" is no more...Hes thrown his life away. My main pity is for the beautiful young woman who lost her life by his hand. Rip reeva.

  • Jealous murderer...Hope you live a life of hell

    1. You would check on your own partner if you were sleeping together.
    2. Why the hell would she lock toilet door. Obviously feeling a little bit scared of her jealous and control freak of a husband. She was a beautiful lady..
    3. Why so many shots. The intention was to kill.
    4. He would have realized her screams between gun shots. He was so close to the door.

  • She would have screamed

Even if his intruder story is true, which I doubt, after the first shot she would have screamed. Why further shots??? He appears to be a jealous, arrogant person - have to admit he is a good actor though - all this crying on the witness stand, trying to get sympathy. Reeva's mother not impressed though!

  • No one deserve to die like this. He needs life imprisonment , killing a woman.

He planned it. We don't need someone like him on the streets . Hope he won't bribe the judge and the state lawyers. Hope the judge isn't corrupt , the is no way Reeva wouldn't scream from the first shot. They had an argument and Reeva she was still wearing the vest which it was on CCTV when she arrived' , which means they didn't go to bed. Poor Reeva she ran for her life and hide in the bathroom, if only she knew. What a terrible death. His guilty as sin.

  • No common sense to his story

    1. She wouldn't lock the door to go to the bathroom!
    2. When he yelled at the "intruder" she would have spoken back if she were in the toilet closet.
    3. Reeva doesn't ever him or speak to him the whole time this was going on!
Really now, his story makes no sense.

  • Pistorius deliberately and intentionally killed His girlfriend.

If Pistorius did not intend to kill his girlfriend, he could have carefully, consciously checked where the girlfriend was before shooting. No reasonable man can shoot in the toilet where he suspects there is an intruder before confirming where the partner is first, when you only live the two of you in the house, impossible. He intentionally killed the girlfriend, testimony from the grave can speak for itself. Reev herself testified in her last sms s to Pistorius that she was sometimes afraid of him because of his temper. Justice should prevail the world is watching.

  • A terrible accident.

I believe it was a terrible accident that resulted in the horrible death of Reeva. The facts are undeniable that Oscar fired the shots, this has never been disputed by Oscar. The question is why anyone intent on killing their loved one, would set themselves up in a position where they commit the crime in their own home, claim it was an accident, despite all appearances of an intentional killing? Why would Oscar, who has enjoyed years of living a celebrity lifestyle, carelessly through all that away, committing an inexplicably stupid crime of intently killing his girlfriend. It makes no sense it was intentional.

  • Take a second and put yourself in his shoes not your first world country ones

Alot of people commenting on this live in well off areas were you do not live in fear every day of your life. Speaking from personal experinces fear is one of the most blinding experinces in life. You don't think you just act. I can just imagine having no legs must have multiplied that fear. As for the evidence a lot of it is on his side. They proved he was on his stumps which begs the question, if you were so wanting to kill someone and planned it out would you not have put on your legs? If you saw the only window in your house with no bars open would u not react ? If you were previously beat and attacked would you not be afraid? If you wanted to kill someone would you scream for help? Would the first thing you say be " i killed her it was a mistake.' If you lived in a country with a high crime rate a rate so high that no one in any 1st world country could fathom would u be as level headed ? My final point is this everyone says that he shot her and yelled at her before this would you stay sitting on the toilet if you knew that your life was in immediate danger. I know for a fact i would move. They majority of blood was found on an OPEN toilet seat. She was using the bathroom not hiding. This was a mistake and people are not willing to except that the state of the country is what lead this terrible thing to happen and not some hot head. South Africa needs a change and blaming individuals is not the way to do it.

  • The question isn't did he kill her, we know he did. The question is whether he meant to

The fact that there is debate around this, suggests there is a large amount of doubt and the evidence is coincidental. The judge will have no choice but to declare him innocent of the murder as that same doubt will be in the minds of the judge and her panel.

  • It's just too brutal and obvious and he has WAY too much to loose

I just can't see how he'd snap to the point, where he goes to all that effort to get his gun, follow Reeva into the bathroom and then blast her 4 times and then try to cover it up. I mean, this whole reaction to a murder is so predictable, that makes way less sense to me than his version where there's a potential burglar. He's also been dating Reeva only 3-4 months, he has no psycho history of jealousy and would probably at the time have alot of woman throwing themselves at him. He needs jail time for how trigger happy he is, but I haven't seen anything that rpoves he would be so angry to get out of bed, grab his gun, walk into the bathroom and kill Reeva in the most obviously guilty way possible when more so than the average person, he has so much to loose.

  • OP is definitely innocent

    1. SA has a very high rate crime and OP has had a irrefutably difficult life making him hypersensitive to crime and fear.
    2. OP has proven he is fearful of crime by way of security upgrades.
    3. The room was unquestionably pitch black because of black-out curtains and blinds.
    4. The sound of RS going to the bathroom was mistakenly heard by OP as the sound of an intruder/
    5. OP screams that there is an intruder. RS would not have yelled back - she would have also been fearful of the purported intruder.
    6. RS locks the bathroom door to protect herself from the intruder.
    7. OP mistakenly hears this as the intruder coming out of the bathroom and so shoots.
    8. RS could not have screamed. The bullet hit her head - she died instantly.
    9. OP has been proven to be without his prosthesis during the shooting and with the cricket bat.
    10. Forensics proves that bullets entered the door before the damage from the cricket bat.
    11. OP shouted for help from the balcony, called both a private ambulance and the security guard very soon after the shooting. A guilty man would not seek the interference and discovery of his crime that quickly. A guilty man would take time to come up with a story.

  • What was she thinking

In his evidence today Oscar explained that he was shouting and screaming to Reeva to phone the police and get down because there is a burglar in the house. What was she thinking if she heard all this while she was in the bathroom? She might not have known that Oscar actually thought she was the burglar. It’s possible she stayed quite because she thought Oscar was alerting her to a burglar somewhere else in the house and was trying to keep herself safe. Either way it’s tragic. Can’t imagine how the Steenkamps feel after losing their daughter this way.

  • Let's Examine This:

If we examine his life from an irrational perspective, we can say that he lost his legs, developed a fear of not being able to protect himself or the one he loved as a man without his prosthetics, spent over two decades of his life training for a sport that everyone thought he could never succeed in, rose to the Olympian level, made history, was given fame, money, and the glory that normally accompany this position ... Heard a noise in his bathroom that startled him in his sleep, knew it was his gf and wanted to get back at her (for cheating on him and jealousy as some people are saying), and then fired four times hoping that when the cops come, they will accept his story and he will walk free after a long grueling trial and global spectacle show.

Rational: he assumed beyond a shadow of a doubt his gf was lying next to him, he has a natural fear from losing his legs of being in a disadvantageous position against another man, he heard a startling sound, and did what any man would ...

This is no different from Soldiers who return from war and snap out of the blue because memories are triggered by a loud sudden sound that occurs. Oscar can't say he has a complex and a fear not being able to defend himself. That is unmanly and would be twisted by the media in so many ways. But I too have definitely, (out of fear in the dark), heard sounds at night and made quick assumptions, all the while my heart is beating rapidly thinking the worst. When I finally calm down, rationality sets in and I see all the things that I failed to initially see.

Anyone who can sit here and think that a man such as this would kill (let's just assume he is egotistic for a second) the a woman that could make 99% of men turn their eyes and look, thereby giving him a further ego boost, and jeopardize two decades worth of blood, sweat, and tears to beat the odds that few have ever attempted to beat with his condition, isn't thinking rational. You can't fake emotion, and that is a distraught man, reliving the mistake he made everyday. He is not a woman-killer and I think the pain of knowing that he can never bring her back is a hell he may never break free from. All this nonsense about some quabble or fight is quite stupid. If you were Pristorius and accidentally killed your gf, how would you act? What would you say? Would you remember everything exactly as it occurred on that tragic night? Or would your memory be foggy and filled with images of the woman you love.

  • A tragic accident

I believe Oscar is telling the truth about what happened. Sometimes in life people make mistakes. He made a mistake by not confirming that she was the one in the bathroom before he shot. I think he had just woke up and just assumed that there was an intruder in the house because of the security system not working and having an open window due to the air conditioning not working. I feel for him for having to live with this and of course it is so sad that Reeva died so young at the hands of her lover. It is a heart-wrenching tragedy for everyone concerned. Oscar will be in my prayers.

  • As guilty as can be

All of you who support pistorius and state its an accident miss two crucial things. In his story he claims he woke up couldn't sleep but reeva woke up too and spoke to him. He then gets up to bring in two fans and the balcony is right by his
bedside. In the meantime its pitch dark and she gets up to use the loo but he doesn't hear it doesn't hear her walking nor feeling her way through the dark opening the toilet door locking it? He is disabled but not deaf. He comes in with the fans but
    manages to hear all
of a sudden the window opening( while he couldn't here her getting up being right next to her) he immediately assumes its a burglar but never crosses his mind the obvious is could be his partner. He then said he told her to call the police bla bla but she never relied. Minutes before he was eager to talk about a non life threatening condition and know she suddenly goes deaf and speechless to say even an OK. Worse her non responsiveness is not strange for h. He them
moves to the bathroom area clearly an open space finds it empty and all that's left is the toilet a tiny area with no window. He says he cried out to the imaginary burglar and to reeve again but got no reply from either and he still assumed everything was ok. Come on? What are the odds of so many improbable impossible coincidences and backed
up with all the texts and precious behaviour? Are you people that naive and stupid? Not to mention firing at noises and a
closed door is just as as murder as anything else? There was no threat no voice no face to shoot at. Next thing this
could have in a public place with the same lame imaginary self defence excuse and be a precedent for future wife killers and female abuser to try and cover up their sorry ass intentional murders!
