  • Not only the right but the duty

Voting is the way that a democracy functions. It is an important right for every American, and, not only that, each American has the duty to learn about the issues and go and cast an informed vote. Without the right of everyone to vote, the whole idea of a democracy falls apart; it becomes an oligarchy, plutocracy, or other less free form of government.

  • Right to Vote Cannot Be Infringed

The right to vote cannot be infringed upon unless you are convicted of a felony, incapacitated or if you have been convicted of a voting-related crime. Everyone gets one vote. It started out with property owners, then blacks, then women and finally everyone ages 18 and older all got the right to vote in the history of the republic.

  • It's a right, not a privilege

As long as you are within the borders of these united states, I believe you have the right to vote on the outcome of this country. We are a nation of Native Americans and immigrants, by design; we cannot forget our history and deny voting rights to any of our citizens. Only then can we move forward to become inclusive and create laws with everyone in consideration.

  • The Right to Vote in America

Every American within the parimeters of the law have the right to vote. I believe that to vote in America, you should have to prove you are American. I don't think there should be any question about whether an American should have the right to vote or not. If you are American, 18 years of age, and have not committed any felony, you should be able to vote.

  • Yes Americans have the right to vote.

All Americans have the right to vote as it makes our country more of a democracy then a socialist country. We are given the opportunity to attempt to control things that happen to us, and although it might not always become our choice that wins we can still try to influence the vote in our favor.

  • Is this really a question??

I can't believe I am even taking time to answer this but yes. If you are an adult citizen that is not a criminal than you have the constitutional right to cast your vote and have a say in the nation you call home. Politicians trying to restrict voting rights need to be stopped and tried for what they are...Criminals!
