Everyone has the right to a private life and freedom of speech and if they have no private life it is taking away their rights. Basic human rights are not a choice they are a necessity. Everyone has them and everyone deserves them no matter who they are or where they have come from.

  • They're Americans too!! Remember?

Even if they're all right with the whole social media thing, it's still all right to conceal some private things about them. I mean, HELLO! Do you want the world to know your deepest darkest secret??? If you wanted something to be private, would you like the social media posting it all onto Facebook?

  • Yea they should....Dont you?

YES they should have rights for privacy Its not very popular to be a celebrity anymore since you don't get any privacy ...... & the public thinks you loose your privacy status because you are privileged to be a celebrity ...... People don't realize its a job with appointments & schedules celebrities should have the right to personal privacy when they are not at work.

  • No they don't have a right to privacy.

They signed a contract which basically gave the media the right to see their private lives. They make the majorty of their money of their money off the public press. They are also payed so people can see their private lives. All in all they dont deserve privacy at all.

  • Celebrity definition: the state of being well known

You can't be a celebrity without being in the public eye
X factor contestants for example, deliberately put themselves under scrutiny of the media
Lots of celebrities often invite the public into their lives: wedding photos, newborn babies, tv documentaries, twitter and all other forms of social media!
They have a very privileged lifestyle due to their celebrity status - millions of pounds etc. A lack of privacy is a small price to pay!!
Celebrities can't expect to be able to pick and choose when they want attention
If it bothered celebrities that much, it wouldn't be too difficult to disappear out of the public eye.

  • They sign their life to the public when signing onto a movie or label!

When you become a celebrity you are basically saying that you are ok with every person on the planet knowing everything about you. Of course they deserve it behind closed doors, but we still want to know what happens behind those doors even if we can't see it. . .

  • They are different from everyone else

Celebrities aren’t like actors, singers, or dancers. They bravely chose to put themselves into the public eye. They do, of course, deserve a little bit of privacy, but they shouldn’t expect to have as much a regular person has. If they regret that big decision of taking on the fame, then they should have thought harder when they first made the decision.

  • Celebrities knew about it

Argument: Celebrities knew that the press will be focused on them. They knew they will have some fans who would like to know about hem so they can't complain about this. They now have to accept what is going on and stop grumble on paparazzi and on the press .

  • They only want privacy when things go wrong!

Celebrities are asking for privacy and yet post all day on twitter/Instagram to millions of followers. Many pride themselves on the fact that they have X million followers. Yes, they post pictures of their kids, relationships, everything...If they wanted privacy why the heck would you post...Even the average who Joe who posts on Facebook that not everyone will write glorious eulogies , many friends, acquaintances might be critical/harsh of your photographs. Comments etc. ...How much more when you are posting to zillion people....

  • No they dont

Fame, is something everyone wants. Children dream of it, teenagers strive for it, and even adults want to live it. Being “famous” is something that everyone at one point in their life wants to be. They want to be that one person that everyone looks at in awe; they want to be respected without doubt. Yet, these dreamers do not consider the consequences of fame. The lack of privacy and normality are taken from you when fame enters your life and people often forget that.
Privacy is something that is expected to be respected. Yet with fame seems to come the right to invade your personal life. Is that right? That’s debatable. But celebrities knew that this was a consequence, some even looking at their lack of privacy positively. So no, celebrities should not have a right to privacy. For one, if they had the right of privacy they wouldn’t be celebrities, they would just be average Americans. You cannot be a celebrity without being in the public eye. Celebrities sign contracts that basically give the media all access to their private life. Mostly, the reason people are interested in celebrities is because of their lives. They see their struggles and accomplishments and they want to be just like them.
