Do intersexuals deserve special legal protections because of their unique status?

  • Intersexuals deserve special legal protections because of their unique status?

Intersexuals deserve special legal protections because of their unique status because our world that we live in does not at this point understand and accept this type of life so we have to learn how to adapt to it and protect those that do need protecting I think the legal part of it should be based on each person.

  • Yes, intersexuals should receive at least the same legal protections as other minority groups.

Assuming that 'special legal protections' means the sort of non-discrimination protections that are in place for racial minorities and homosexuals, it would be appropriate to extend these protections to intersexual individuals. Just as sexual preference appears to be determined at birth, gender identity is an characteristic over which people have no choice. Intersexual individuals should receive the same rights as other minority groups.

  • No they shouldn't be protected anymore than the others

No they shouldn't be protected anymore than the other people. If you have skin and you act and look normal there needs to be no special protection for people that are intersexuals. They have their problems just like everyone else. They should really look at the deeper reasoning of why they are the way they are now.

  • No They Shouldn't

Intersexuals are people who fall somewhere in the middle between male and female. These people are in society and they are rare, however they should not receive "special" legal protection because of their unique status. Most people are accustomed to a male/female society when biology doesn't always follow the rules, but that doesn't mean these people should need "special" protections.
