Do our leaders really trust the christian god when they go against his laws?

    If "our leaders" happens to refer to the US government, then the trusting of any religion's deity by legislators who "go against a his laws" is counter to the first amendment. By trusting a deity, congress would be respecting an establishment of a religion; the first amendment forbids such an act.
