Do people have the right to refuse life-saving treatment?

  • If they don't want it, that's their right

    Some people may find themselves in situations that something may be able to save their life at the moment, but they have a medical situation that will still cause them pain and suffering and inevitable death afterwards. If they fail to see the point in continuing the fight, they should be able to elect not to.

    Everyone has the right to decide which treatment they should seek. Its patients autonomy.If the lifesaving treatment only prolong the time to death and if everyone has the right to refuse that will end their suffering earlier.If the physician decided to carry out his treatment without patient's consent he breaches patients right to refuse.
