  • Yes, and here is how:

Start by getting the government the hell out of education. After that, allow respectable teachers the right to carry firearms for the sake of protecting the children. Get rid of mass surveillance and police raids entirely and give back the children their Bill of Rights. -That- is how to make our schools safer.

  • Schools should be safer.

We need to keep our school safer so that we would be safe as well. Also, it is the place where learning is rampant so we should definitely keep it safe. In addition to that, our school should be kept safe because if certain harm would happen, innocent professors or employee of a particular school where the incident can possibly happen would be held accountable. Well, it's unjust to punish them because of their carelessness of a crime they didn't commit. After all, they are just human being.

  • Cause it does

School shootings are really very dangerous and kids are dying. And obama doesnt care. He isnt doing anything about it. And neither am i. Teachers are mean and will use students as human shields. And yes i truly believe this. We need to make our schools alot alot more very safer.

  • Yes.

Due to the recent rise of violence in schools, I believe we should be stricter and more efficient in the safety department. Now, having armed guards and four cameras per room would prove to be detrimental [scaring students more than helping them], there should be certain protocols and such to help. I may be very wrong in suggesting this, but what if schools had a mandatory self-defense class for their students? This is simply my opinion.

  • Yes, schools should be safer.

In light of the recent Sandy Hook Elementary incident, it's plain to see that even schools where young children are educated are not as safe as we thought. Parents are always concerned that their children are safe when they're away from home, but now it's time to incorporate even more security in schools. Thorough background checks should also be done on all teachers to make schools safer, as the gunman in the Sandy Hook incident was the son of one of the teachers.

  • We Need To Make Them Safer

We do need to make our schools safer. We should always be working towards this goal, so students can learn without having to worry about distractions. There has been killings at schools that need to stop. We could also work to stop things such as bullying in schools as well.

  • NO

We need to stop making our schools safer by putting all this crap in them. There's armed guards and cameras and uniforms and this zero tolerance crap.

Our schools are practically minimum security prisons in a lot of places, and you can hardly expect kids to be able to learn or to want to go to such a place.

Instead, why don't we try to make our society as a whole safer? Why don't we try to get to the bottom of why these kids want to bring weapons and instigate violence in our schools?

While we're at it, can we please just accept that it's a normal part of human nature for people to fight and stop making such a big deal about it?

  • They say OH and S i say GFYS

I don't think schools should be safer because school is really boring and all we won't to do is push each other in the face until someone pussys out and leaves. Schools over react about everything especially fights and not doing anything. I think school should be about making your mates cry

  • No, our schools are statistically very safe

Every time a mass shooting occurs at a school it sparks a massive national debate on gun control and how we can protect our children. The fact is, there have only been a few school shootings over the past decade across the ENTIRE United States. Over 99.9% of our children will attend K-12 and college and be perfectly safe. Simply concluding that school are dangerous because maybe a few dozen students have been murdered out of millions and millions of students in our country is absurd. If we are that concerned about protecting our children, we should not let them ever get a drivers license or play outside, because they could be struck by lightning or hit by a meteor from space. Adding more security to schools would do nothing but add fear to the children and create a less positive learning environment.
