Do you become the person you think you are, good or bad?

  • A lot of times people become what they think they are.

When you think badly of yourself it often becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, and you start doing things that you think you would do.
    Example:
-People with low self-esteem will sometimes believe they are cold and mean to others, then when others approach them they act that way.
We seek comfort in believing that we are right about something, even if it is something bad.

  • Sometimes yes, but also no....

Sometimes people do not see that they have become something, they think of themselves being something else or someone else they they are not. This is caused by denial of who they really are, such as this; "you sound just like your mother!" "I do not, I am nothing like her!"
