Do you believe interns should be forced to work for free?

  • No responses have been submitted.
  • No interns should be paid for work.

In our system, indentured servitude should not be allowed to continue. To force interns to work without even providing the minimum wage is simply criminal. It is a basic value of capitalism that a worker should be paid for honest work, even if they are learning as they go. Interns should not be corporate slaves.

  • Interns should not be forced to work for free.

Interns should not be forced to work for free, but they should be allowed to work for marketable work experience instead of money. The decision to pay interns should be an option for employers, but unpaid internships should held at value as well, since for the most part interns do internship for the job experience and not the actual pay.

  • That is slave labor.

No, I do not think that interns should be forced to work for free, because companies cycle in low-level interns for free, rather than pay for entry level employees. Some college graduates cannot find a job out of school because they are cut out because of interns that have to work for free. It is unfair.

  • Pay Them Already

We wonder why so many people are dependent on the government? Then you have thinking like this, that just baffles the mind. The interns may be new to the job, hence their name, but they are still putting in a full days work in many cases. The question be why are they not getting paid? It is a sham, by employers who do this. A race to the bottom at it's finest.

  • Interns Forced To Work

I personally think that interns should not be forced to work for free because that individual worked hard so I personally think that they should get paid. I personally think that interns should not be forced to work for free because that individual is doing labor. i personally think that interns should not be forced to work for free because they are working already.
