    The default currency of the world should be the US dollar due to the fact that it is the most circulated form of currency ever. Not only that but it greatly helps the value of the US dollar to be wanted and used in all corners of the world. We also have had a hand in som many countries around the world that it is easy way to get our money into their systems.

Gold is only a good fall-back in the event of financial meltdown, but is not necessary at current times. Nonetheless, the next 10 years of budgetary determinations by the Senate and CBO should provide guidance as to the overall direction of U.S. Currency, especially if the Senate resumes passing budgets.
