It is not just that we want wildlife around so that future generations can look at them, these animals are part of a larger ecosystem that we need in order to survive. As one animal goes, there goes another, and at some point we are going to disrupt Nature to the point where it is no longer sustainable.
Society should do more to preserve wildlife. There are many hunters, particularly outside of the United States, that hunt animals beyond its needs for food. This includes tigers, are near extinction, that are killed for poaching, retaliatory killings and loss of habitat as man encroaches their territory. Other animal face a similar plight.
Yes, we need to do more as a society to reserve wildlife. If we do not do more to preserve wildlife. they will soon become extinct. The species that are here today will not be around for our children and our children' children to see and enjoy if we do not do more to preserve wildlife today.
No, I do not believe we need to do more as a society to preserve wildlife. Society's current efforts to preserve wildlife are sufficient and should be continued, but any further effort would be too extreme. There is no way to completely protect all forms of wildlife, so there's no point in going overboard.
