A while ago I worked as a soil surveyor outside an abattoir. I was sent inside to fetch a bucket of water and found huge vats of hot steamy water in which cows stomachs bubbled. Several men with bristle brushes took turns scrubbing the stomachs cleaning and preparing and producing the tripe it was to become. The smell will stay with me forever, cloy greasy sticky smell that coated your nostrils and seeped into your lungs. WORST JOB EVER.
