Do you think a child should study more (yes) or play more (no)?

  • In the long run

We all have to be prepared and ready for our adult lives, yes there is a balance but we should respect it instead of taking advantage of one side. Aren't they both very vital in the long run? This is what can help us and we should take it very seriously, studies can be fun if you try

  • I think a child should study more than play.

Yes, I think a child should study more than play because children are in the prime of their lives and should be learning as much as possible. Although, I think that there should be a balance of the two, children should definitely study more. If in the prime of their lives, people should learn as much as possible.

  • Depends on age

My answer to this question depends largely on age, and also on what you're defining as study and what you're defining as play.

First of all, young children learn through play. This is very well established in the field of developmental psychology. Children play by exploring the world, and that's how they learn about the world. So for young children, play makes more sense than structured study because it fits better with their natural method of assimilating information.

When we talk about older children, structured study becomes more important. However, this study can be done in a fun, exploratory way that is difficult to distinguish from play. While formal study is necessary, it is also important for children to retain their natural curiosity about the world, and incorporating study and play into a unified approach would likely be the best method to accomplish this.

  • Merge the two together

When you make a job into a game it is far easier, it keeps you happy, and it enhances your productivity. Transcend the socially constructed, artificial division between "leisure" and "labor" and your life will take off.
We have so much science to use to help ourselves construct better education for our children. Why don't we use it? Why not construct classroom activities and homework in a way that naturally stimulates children's dopamine, serotonin, and other happy chemicals, that engages them and makes their happiest, favorite activity learning?

  • Its up to them

As a successfull invester in the stock market my child hood was filled with numbers and i was wondering which stocks would go up and which would go down. But it really is up to the child if he wants to work at walmart or work at the new york stock exchange. I think that kids should study more and the parents should tell them that he or she can study get a good job and be success full or play outside all day and get a bad job and do nothing of your life. THE only way to make a lot of money is through a good education which only can be done by working hard and studdying for hours as i did.

So my opinion is in the middle more to yes

  • Of course they should study more

A lot of people think 'oh they should be able to play more' but those people fail to realize that THE NUMBER ON ETHING THAT KIDS LIKE TO PLAY WITH IS THEIR OWN P*NIS. I would much rather have kids studying instead of putting a fresh coat of wax on my toilet seat that they dont even care to wipe off. Messy little sh*ts.....

  • Children learn through playing

Children learn more social and motor skills from playing than studying, the more you play, the more you learn and the happier you will be. Children who spend more time studying than playing are more likely to not have friends and that will cause them to develop social problems in life. Besides, playing is fun.

  • There is a saying, "There is a time to work, there is a time to play."

We are not saying that children should play all day and not work at all, but having a balance between both. Every child has a right to manage their time to either play or work. It is up to them to decide how to use their time. With play, life would be more interesting for children.

  • Hard Pressed Children

Society is starting to be more judgemental than they have before. This in turn is forcing kids to exceed their limits at a faster rate than normal. Forcing a new generation to do better than the last by making it harder on them. At a developmental state this could go either way. I DO NOT think we should but kids that that situation wondering if it is going to make or break them. As a kid you need to enjoy life while you can because reality will hit you eventually. I know that when it happens life may become less enjoyable. While you can with your innocence you need to enjoy it.

  • They should play!

Being children is the best time of your life. Because you have energy to do everything. Obviously studying is also important for them to develop their minds ,however only studying wont show any results it will only make children hate studying. Every children has rights to play and have fun because in the future there will be time to study but wont be time to play .And when they grow up they will have a lot of good memories that will make him or her feel happy. Playing games with friends also will improve the way he or she communicate .

  • It's healthier to play and there's more to life than productivity.

The vast majority of people will end up at the bottom of the depth chart in an organizational hierarchy. How many people who worked hard all their lives have ended up going nowhere? Most will have to simply accept that they're stuck in a dead end job that they're vastly overqualified for. Kids should just accept that life is ultimately about having as much fun as possible while doing the least work possible. The ones who are ambitious will do extra studying regardless of social pressures (government, school, parents, etc.) and the rest will be able to enjoy their time in the mortal realm in the most efficient way possible - with minimal effort.

That depends on what the child is already doing. Overwoking them is not good. They need some free time to be able to play and be children.
