Do you think in some cases women are just as responsible as men for date rape occurring?

  • Be Mindful of Your Behavior

Rape is a very serious crime. A woman can take precautions in date situations to lessen her chances of being a victim. It is important to avoid behaviors that will send mixed messages. It is never appropriate to entice the date into believing that the woman in the mood for sex when she is not. Send clear signals of what is, and is not, acceptable. A woman should never drink or do drugs to the point that she is not able maintain control of her senses.
SOME date rapes can be avoided if a woman is mindful of the messages she is sending by her behavior.

  • Things should be outlined clearly before hand

A woman should lay down the ground rules in Public before hand.
Before the date starts she should lay down the base rules, such as "No sex after drinking" and "Were both going to keep our hands to ourselves",this way witnesses can say that the woman made it clear before hand.

Furthermore:This way women can't agree to sex and scream rape later.

This way the man knows the boundaries.

  • When the woman is the rapist

Sometimes women rape men. So in some cases the woman is completely responsible. And in the cases where the man is the rapist the man is completely responsible.

The victim is NOT responsible. Nobody has a right to force anyone to have sex. It doesn't matter if the victim is acting all sexual beforehand. People have the right to change their minds. It doesn't matter if they are dressed provocatively. Maybe they didn't do it for you. It doesn't matter if they are promiscuous. I could have sex with everyone in the world except for you and you still wouldn't have a right to force sex on me.

  • Yes, here are some reasons.

1.) The woman could be the rapist.
2.) This question does not have a bias, but people assume that only women can be raped.
3.) Men are the victims of rape more often than women.
4.) Women make up 40% of rapists, but get off free, because of feminists arguing "men can't get raped."

  • No not really.

I do not think women are just as responsible as men for date rape occurring, ever. The victim is never at fault, no matter the circumstance. You can say that the women should of paid attention, should of done this, or that, but at the end of the day it is not okay and no excuse will change that.

  • Women are never responsible for date rape

It is probably one of the most disgusting of defenses when someone says that a woman is equally responsible for a date rape occurring as the man. Rape apologists deserve no say on any national stage, and it is a shame that this debate even needs to take place in any civilized forum.

  • A Loaded Question

I believe this question is written with quite a bit of bias. I think the question assumes that men and women take certain roles in date rape. The question assumes that men are always the aggressor and I believe that is false. There are plenty of cases where women have been the aggressor and they should be charged for their misdeeds just as the men have been charged for theirs.
