Do you think school uniforms help children learn better?

  • School uniforms at certain levels of school will help children learn better.

I believe that school uniforms at certain levels of school, such as middle school or high school, will help children learn better. Clothes can be a real distraction for students that age. Girls wear too tight shirts and boys wear jeans that sag below their hips. If all students were dressed alike there would not be those types of distractions and children would focus on their studies.

  • They are helpful.

Yes, I think that school uniforms help children learn better, because they are not worried about what the latest trends are. Especially in middle school, students are so concerned about what other children think, that they can't focus in school. Students who wear uniforms won't like it, but it will help them.

  • No, school uniforms do not help children learn better.

No, school uniforms do not help students learn at all. First of all, the teachers spend to much money on them. Next, they make you look like you're from the 90's! This is the modern world reader! Last, you would not be unique. You have to be unique! That's why school should not have uniforms.

  • No, school uniforms do not help children learn better.

By forcing a uniform on children you take away some of their comfort and freedom of expression. Children who are more relaxed in school are more likely to enjoy the time they spent there. On average happy children should be more likely to learn than those who are displeased with the requirement of attending school every day.

  • Discourages individual expression

Schools are as much of a social environment as they are an academic learning environment, as with this, school uniforms are greatly detrimental for students to express their own individuality and without being able to freely do this at all times, including the school day, they may suffer for it later in life.
