The internet should be regulated just like television. Children should not be able to have access to free porn; people should not be able to ruin someone's life or career with postings and articles on Google; people should not be able to have access to all of your PRIVATE information. We used to regulate television and movies and no one died.
That's a tough one, since I don't believe the government should tell people what they can and can't see. However, some things are NSFW and not age appropriate for minors, so there's kind of a fine line. Access to adult content also has to be regulated by parents, but there may be some common sense governmental limits that can be added to help parents do that.
The government should not regulate more access to adult content in the internet. In fact, I find it incredulous that people always look to the government to solve every one of life's little discomforts. Time to sack up and stop whining at every little turn. Government screws up everything it touches. How can anyone think it can solve this issue?
The internet is a place where people deserve to be able to express themselves freely. Just because some people cannot keep their children off of sites that are not age appropriate does not mean everyone else should have to suffer. There are enough partental controls already and sensorship is not the answer.
