Do you think the economy would have seen a huge mess if Scotland had voted for independence?

  • The economy would have seen a huge mess if Scotland had voted for independence.

The economy would have seen a huge mess if Scotland would have voted for independence. I believe that Scotland lacks the proper finances to be successfully independent. If given a grace period, or a given a lenght of time to gather the knowledge and finances to be properly independent, it possibly could turn out differently.

  • yes! scotland does not need independence

yes the country would have been a huge mess if scotland voted for this, a country needs not to be independent , if it needs help from other souces it must be able to get the help that it needs, it should be more like america and other sucessfull countries

  • No way to protect themselves.

Scotland is strong because the United Kingdom is strong. Scotland is strong because the pound is strong. Scotland would have surely voted for its own destruction if it had voted for independence. Anyone could have attacked Scotland and won. Scotland was smart to remember that they need the economic and military strength of England.

  • The economy would take a dip but bounce back

I believe the English and Scottish economies would at first take a small hit until the dust settles, certainly EU confidence in Great Britain may be undermined and England's position made weaker. But I think both economies would bounce back far quicker than most people give them credit for. The vote was very close so obviously many others think the same
