  • Obviously They Do

First we must define what an alien is. According to Oxford Dictionaries and alien is defined as belonging to a foreign country or nation. Obviously people from foreign countries exist. Unfortunately the rest of the voters have failed to see this and went straight to the assumption that "alien" meant some kind of extra terrestrial creature.

  • Why doesn't it?

We have discovered water on other planets, we see planets with habitable air and atmospheres, and there is so much room in this universe for life outside of earth, I personally think it's egotistical for humans to say we are the only life, and that we are the only important thing in the universe. Now, is there intelligent life in the universe? I don't know, but if we can find water on planets and safe atmospheres on some, why wouldn't there be some kind of life somewhere out there?

  • The numbers don't lie

The probability of alien life existing aside from our planet is astronomical. Plus, some of these alien encounter stories on our planet have some truthfully scary merit behind them. To date, scientists have already found several planets that are within the habitable zone. These planets are within our galaxy, imagine how many exist throughout the universe.

  • The Universe is Infinite. . .

The universe is a never ending bubble, it grows every day and is it really possible for us to be the only ones? At the moment there are around 25 billion planets in the universe. Define the word alien, it might not be a green blob with six arms and four eyes, to us an alien is any sign of life that did not originate from earth. There has already been some sort of life found outside of earth and the creatures are called 'extremophiles', they are very very small creatures that live in extreme conditions such as hot lava or freezing cold temperatures. Can we call them aliens?

  • Aliens could exist

My opinion is that aliens could be real because there is not evidence to say aliens don't exist. There could be a planet just like Earth with the same life forms as our planet. No one has gone to all the planets and all the solar systems, to know that aliens don't exist.

  • They are real!

We think they are real otherwise we wouldn't know what they look like and their appearance would be. Also, some people believe in them because they have stated that there are UFO's flying and apparently they have seen them with their own eyes, there have also been documentaries and TV programmes that are real. How would they have such an accurate sighting of what they look like if they don't exist?

  • Define Alien Life...

When I say alien life exists, I am not talking about the one with a large, gray head and soulless, black eyes you see in the movies. I'm talking about tiny organisms called microbes that have been proven to not only live, but thrive in areas that are lethal to humans. Areas with an immense amount of heat, cold, salt, acidity, and radiation that are often prone to other planets. Miles below the ground with in a parched desert. If the environment is right then there is no reason why alien life / microbes wouldn't inhabit the area.

  • Are you so sure there isnt ?

Well yes the world and outside is huge .. What makes you think that there couldnt be any possible reason why there is another form of life circling around us right now .. Anything is possible .. And if that is the case then any type of life is possible. Aliens can be real . Think about it

  • The universe is huge.

The universe is massive and we are only living one planet in one galaxy. They are so many more galaxies out there and I highly doubt we are the only planet/galaxy with civilisation. They are many more things in this universe that we have no discovered. I wouldn't be surprised if they discovered another form of civilisation.

  • Are you stupid?

How many aliens have y'all seen? E.T. And Bigfoot don't count. We haven't even talked to none mumbo jumbo aliens and y'all thinking that some freaky mothers are out there chilling in Ufos and crap? Cmon now as humans are we that dumb? For real get yo acts together y'all.

  • What's a flying saucer anyways?

If there was actual aliens then why don't they just invaded our planet and get it over with? Are we like some test monkeys being tested on, and for that reason why at that huh? This truly doesn't make sense at all. Although there as been evidence supposedly regarding this theory, movies and documentaries. It could be possible that an extra terrestrial beings exist out of our solar system, and have inner dimensional space ships that travel at the speed of time. Are they looking to advance there species from us, and over the years have secretly collected there data, and taken away several experiments. Are Aliens even smart they look sorta stupid, and for them to have smart tech is ridiculous. If so what are there intentions? What is there to happen if something in the future where to happen, I think that where here because they rather have us in this planet. How is it that other planet's are habitual, but have no life? Is it cause the where on of the aliens experiments, and they choose to let our species evolve. Imagine if where a science experiment...

  • Do Aliens Exist? Renowned NASA Scientist Says 'No One's Out There'.

A world-renowned NASA scientist whose research led to the discovery of new planets said there’s no sign of aliens and we are likely alone in our galaxy. William Borucki, the principal investigator of NASA’s Kelpler mission, said he's very surprised at the lack of evidence of extraterrestrial life, given his work discovering habitable planets outside our solar system, South China Morning Post reported.

“Up till now, it was just an intellectual question. It isn’t anymore. There could be 10 billion civilizations or none. The evidence certainly is none,” Borucki said in an interview with the Hong Kong newspaper Thursday. ”The evidence says no one’s out there.”

Since the Kepler mission launched in 2009, Borucki said scientists now know that millions of planets orbit each star. But those findings have not helped answer one of humankind’s biggest questions: Why haven’t we been contacted?

“We have a galaxy full of 10 billion planets, in habitable zones, roughly Earth-size, [but] no visits, no communications we’ve picked up,” he told South China Morning Post. “How can that be?”

Borucki, who started working at NASA in 1962, will be awarded the Shaw Prize in Astronomy in Hong Kong Thursday night for his work on the Kepler mission, which has resulted in the discovery of more than 1,000 confirmed planets and an additional 3,600 planetary candidates outside the solar system. The prestigious award honors those who have achieved significant advances in academic and scientific research and whose findings have had a profound impact.

Borucki, who also helped design the heat shields protecting the astronauts who landed on the moon in 1969, said he plans to give $100,000 of his prize money to fight climate change and will donate another portion to the ALS Foundation.

“I’ve spent a large portion of my career searching for other worlds,” Borucki said Wednesday in a press release from the Union of Concerned Scientists. “What we’ve found has underscored how important it is to protect this one. While we can detect other worlds, we cannot go to them. Our future is here on Earth and we must do much more to ensure that our planet’s climate remains hospitable.”
