  • No life revolves around art

Life imitates art because; art is able to influence us to think in certain ways. If a painting showed a man with inhumane characteristics it perceived as ‘ugly’ and ‘abnormal’ back in the 70s. However if that same painting was shown now it would be perceived as a unique character. People are now able to understand that these “madmen” are also human they just do “extraordinary things. ” People perception changed because of the various forms of art. Through songs, plays, media (news) and movies the modern age has come to understand that these people are not any different to us.

  • We are sheep

Life is like those books we read as kids once you got to a certain part it gives you alternate endings that is the illusion of free will our destiny is already preordained cause whichever way we choose there is an alternate... There is no such thing as free will

  • Art imitates life

Art is inspired by life. Therefore, it is an imitation of life. I am inspired by architecture and geometry, so my work reflects that connection. Performing arts also capture an essence of human life. Art is unlimited, it has been expressed in countless ways in our lives. Art imitates life.

  • Yes, it does

Art has to have some sort of inspiration. Inspiration drives art. Like, in the song "Wake Me Up When September Ends" Billy Joe Armstrong sings about his experiences with his father in real life, and about how he feels about him dying 'In Real Life'. Art is driven by real experiences. Now. Don't get me wrong, Haightstreet is right when he says artists try to be original, and creative in making art about non-realistic things, but without the real experiences to 'not' base art on, we wouldn't have anything to make that would seem extra-ordinary.

  • We need to base our art off of something

Even the most 'out there' and 'different' arts are all inspired by something, the first arts inspired by the real world and life, while newer ones would be inspired by the first drawings, paintings, etc. There must be something, anything for anyone to even think of making art. So I say yes, art must imitate life for there to be art in the first place

  • Art Requires Sources

I believe that art does imitate life. Art comes in all forms and artists come from all corners of the world. Artist thrive on creating but they must have a source. Artist can use things from their life, experiences, and adventures and then mold them into new ideas for art projects, painting, sculptures, media, etc.

  • Yes, art imitates life.

Art imitates life, because life came first, art is a product of humans. Whenever an artist creates art he or she uses inspiration from what he or she perceives from the world, in other words, life. Drawings, paintings, music, even clothing has all been inspired by life in one aspect or another.

  • Yes, All The Time It Does That

Even surrealist art is an imitation of life, as dreams are a part of life. Artists see the world subjectively, but their unique visions always speak to some element of the human experience . So, even abstract and avant garde art has some element of life to be found in it.

  • Art Imitates Life

Art most certainly imitates life. At the present I cannot think of any piece of art which hasn't imitated life in some way. That is the greatest thing about art. The fact that we are able to relate to it is most likely the reason art is so enjoyable to us.

  • Art inspires life

Life imitates Art in the way that art is about expressing the idealistic view of how life should be and the experiences that were expressed by the artist though the art. Where there are civilizations without art they tend to rely on information that they know and how to make their daily ins and outs of activities more productive and better. Where art is about reaching for that perfection that life should be. In this way Life imitates art because in life what we strive for is to have that artistic calmness, peacefulness and awakening that comes with living life in a more open way, a more idealistic way of how life should be.

  • Art has always been an influence

Art has always been an influence on our culture. Therefore life imitates art, art does not imitate life, possibly inspired by life but it is not to imitate it is to question life. This is not imitation this is art people aspire to art in culture therefore life imitates art.

  • No, I think artists try to break out of life's illusions.

It would be hard for an artist to simply imitate life because they are giving us a view of the world from their unique perspective. A work of art is really only considered good if it accomplishes that task and takes us away from our personal mundane look at the world. A really great work of art has the capacity to move us in a way that a mere imitation of life could do.
