    Empathy requires a willingness to understand another being, and through it maybe understand one self, without it all you can ever see is an untrue shadow image of yourself. Unbridled self absorption is unhealthy, living in a world of lies makes people unhappy. It is redundant in a barren empty world void of meaning.
