  • Black Lives Matter is an important movement

The Black Lives Matter movement is adding an important dialogue to public discourse. It is important when people want to provoke a change in policy or culture to organize. Of course, organized movements will be subject to plenty of criticism. Having said that, this movement is now gaining real tangible traction, including candidate forums, changes in the way political figures address issues, and local grassroots efforts. People are getting together to combine their resources to affect real change.

  • Both the statement and the humans are impactful.

The saying, "Does Black Lives Matter" really came to the forefront when the recent incidents of shootings have been occurring across the United States. The statement itself, is an impact on the society focusing on the human respect for African Americans, emphasizing that not only Black Lives Matter, but ALL lives matter. Black, White, or no matter the color of the skin or the race, all lives matter. We are all humans capable of emotions of love and respect, both which should be respected daily.

  • Yes they do make a difference

The black lives matter movement has helped to shine the spotlight on what has been happening to young black men all over the country. People are talking about it now, even if they are upset about the movement they are engaged in dialogue about it. Something needs to be done to stop the black male genocide that is happening and this is one way to get society to first acknowledge that it's happening.

  • Too violent for what they claim

If you'll check out the links below, you'll see that the Black Lives Matter movement has radicalized from the beginning. They are making a difference in society, but the riots in Ferguson were completely unacceptable. They'll say they're peaceful, but their actions prove otherwise.

    We can't accept this

  • Not all social media campaigns are good

I don't think the Black Lives Matter social media campaign do real good because it has been spoiled too much by the opposition using the tag against the message. It is easy for anonymous people on social media to derail the well-meaning of a campaign to render it negative and dangerous. I think that's what happened.
