  • It is something called the first amendment

What you are asking is should people be allowed to express their views? "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press" This quote comes from the US constitution. The thing that makes America America. So, by law, Chelsea does HAVE A RIGHT. One of her many HUMAN RIGHTS. No matter how mean it is, that shouldn't matter. Unless Chelsea said she wants to stay Melania, there's no reason to censor her. "But there is no hate speech exception to the First Amendment." Eugene Volokh on the Washington post said this. Really, this debate is about hate speech not being protected by the 1st amendment. By the logic of "hate speech should be banned," all Internet trolls should get life sentences or bullies should be punished in federal courts. 1st, this would violate our amendment number 8, which says no cruel or unusual punishment. By taking this right away from Chelsea, she would be punished, thereby violating two of her rights, the 1st and 8th amendment
