Does Church of England necessarily mean "Anglican"?

  • Church of England has had different denominations throughout the years

    As you can see in my picture, George I made the Church of England into Lutheran, which would last until 1760. The Church of England was once Catholic, then, with the help of Henry VIII, he made it Anglican, then for the first half of the 18th century, George I and II made it Lutheran, and then it reverted to Anglicanism.
