• Have you read the Bible?

I even threw in some stuff from the New Testament.

Luke 16:19-31 There was a rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. And at his gate was laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man's table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores. The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried, and in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side

Matthew 5:22 But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire.'

John 3:18-36 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.......Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.
Genesis 19:24 Then the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah sulfur and fire from the Lord out of heaven.

Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done.

2 Peter 2:4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment

Deuteronomy 23:1-2 “No one whose testicles are crushed or whose male organ is cut off shall enter the assembly of the Lord. “No one born of a forbidden union may enter the assembly of the Lord. Even to the tenth generation, none of his descendants may enter the assembly of the Lord.

Revelation 21:8 But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

Matthew 25:41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angel

Romans 2:6-8 He will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury.

  • Depends on your religion

It is pretty obvious by now that God won't let you into heaven unless you're the correct religion. Muslims make it clear that unless you worship their god, you won't be forgiven by Allah. Christians also make it clear that unless you worship Jesus, you won't be allowed into heaven.

  • That's what the evidence suggests

If God is real (which he probably isn't), then he clearly have favorites. Plenty of miracle recoveries have been reported. People have been claimed to be cured of uncurable diseases after seeing visions of Jesus and stuff. So if this is all true, then god has made a conscious choice to save some people instead of others. He has chosen to save these people, but not the children dying of ebola in africa or being killed by ISIS in iraq. So if theism is true, then god clearly has favorites.

  • All Religions say their God favors them.

Jesus will only let those who turn to, and worship him into heaven. YHWH made a covenant with the Jews that the land is their's, regardless of who lives there and declared them as his people, and Muhammad will only let Muslims enter the kingdom of Allah. The point is that a god who doesn't favor all is wrong.

  • Liberation Theology. Focusing on the poor.

Jesus gave a lot of attention to the poor. Paster Jim Wallis for example notes that in the Old Testament the issue of poverty is the second most mentioned theme. In the New Testament it is mentioned in 1 out of every 16 versus. In the Gospel of Luke it is 1 in 7. So if Jesus had a favourite and I doubt he does it would probably be the poor and the oppressed and the afflicted. Liberation Theology is a theology that says all of us should focus more on the poor.

  • No fricken way!

We are all God's sons and daughters! Just like you! If you have kids you would never have a favorite. He would never ever have a favorite. He loves us all very very much! He loves each and every one of us! He would never, ever, ever have a favorite!

  • God Loves All

Just to clarify, I am stating this as of God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. God loves everyone equally, and always will. This only applies to the human realm, as Satan and demons are God's enemies. One could say that Jesus is God's favorite, but Jesus being God, the point just does not make sense. I say no because I feel that God loves everyone equally, and therefore has no favorites, however, I would agree that everyone is God's favorite.

  • Spoken by the Apostle Peter - Acts 10:34

Acts 10:34 reads, "Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of Persons:". As a footnote takes us to Acts 15:9 which reads, "And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith." God does not choose favorites. Religions do not claim to be God's favorite just for self happiness, they claim they are favored above other religions as to seem better, thus bringing more people to them.
