Yes, I feel that media affects the way women view themselves. From a very young age, females are influenced by things that are pointing towards being thin and beautiful. In Highschool, young women read magazines regarding stars and models, all who have very thin waists. It all tries to point towards having to be beautiful or perfect, and I feel like that gets in the minds of females.
