    No, more government control does not lead to technological growth, because the government is not on the cutting edge of technology. One need only look at the Obamacare website in order to realize this fact. This website was extremely expensive and doesn't even work. If the government wants technological growth, they should reduce regulations and let the private sector take care of it.

    The government does not need to set up standards and legislation to guide the growth of this company. They need to open up research opportunities and provide tax incentives to stimulate expansion in this area. It is basically positive reinforcement rather than negative in the large world-economy scale that you use at home everyday.
