  • The Constitution (is supposed to) protects us all

The United States Constitution is meant to protect us, our freedoms and the welfare and stability of society. Without our constitutional protections, our nation would dissolve into chaos and tyranny. We need to protect our constitutional rights and we need to make sure no one, no corporation or government, gets so powerful that they abuse them.

  • The constitution protects citizens from the government.

The Constitution specifically cites the freedoms given to people. No where in the Constitution does it say what the government has to do for the people. It was written to protect the people from a tyrannical government. Without the constitution limiting the government the government would be free to do whatever it wanted. Good or bad.
