Does the NRA promote an irresponsible position on guns?

  • Yes, They Do

The NRA claims to be a representation of reasonable, responsible gun owners, but admittedly, they are profiteering off of firearm consumerism. The NRA lobbies politically for minimal regulation of firearm production, sales, and ownership, so that they may benefit from the gun manufacturers' support, while simultaneously profiting from their civilian members. If the NRA intended to represent the common American gun owner, they wouldn't profit quite so much.

  • This is a waste of time

No the NRA does not, it is an organization that was created to protect the rights of the people to bear arms, and at the same time teach people how to use them wisely. The NRA not only does that, but it makes an effort to teach younger generations gun safety. I hope this makes sense to all who will read this.

  • No they do not.

No not at all. Not even a bit. Their credibility as an organization includes the promotion of training. Regardless of their opinions it is pretty uneducated to think they are actively promoting irresponsible gun positions. They are advocates for ownership and they stand behind the sedment to promote this belief

  • No they do not.

A big part of the NRA is making sure that firearm owners actually are following laws. The majority of their credibility as an organization includes the promotion of training. Regardless of their opinions it is pretty uneducated to think they are actively promoting irresponsible gun positions. They are advocates for ownership and they stand behind the second ammendment to promote this belief

  • No.

The National Rifle Association does not promote an irresponsible position on guns or gun ownership. Some of the NRA's members do promote poor practices and ideas about guns, gun ownership, importance of guns, and the legal rights of individuals in relation to guns. The NRA's so called members, not the actual NRA is the issue with irresponsible gun perspectives.

  • No the NRA promotes firearm responsibility

The NRA supports the rights of individuals to own weapons. Beyond that, the NRA supports wise and thoughtful possession of those firearms. They are a strong advocate of gun training, and want its members to only lawfully use firearms. If everyone who possessed a firearm did so with the endorsement of the NRA, we wouldn't see gun problems.
