Does the Pentagon need to expand the U.S. Cyber Command?

  • Yes I agree

The US should definitely expand the cyber security command. Like someone mentioned before me, our future is online. You can do pretty much every thing online now. You can play games, be socially connected, do your banking and do your taxes all from your smartphone. That just proves how much you can do online. Do you want all that to be compromised by a single guy who happens to be handy with a computer? Not to mention all the orders that could be changed at the pentagon! Imagine if the orders to kill a head al-Qaeda leader got turned into bomb a village! How bad would that be? That is why we need to up the ante with the US cyber command.

  • Yes, the Pentagon needs to expand the U.S. Cyber Command.

The Pentagon needs to expand the Cyber Command. The recent cyber attacks by China prove the need for increased monitoring and vigilance over everything in the cyber world. Internet use is constantly expanding, and it stands to reason that there will be even more attacks against the most powerful nation on earth. The U.S. is one of the pioneers and biggest users of the cyber world, and so many critical systems are tied into the internet. We should protect our interests in the cyber world as well as we protect our other interests.

  • Yes, They Should

We live in a world of threats. One such growing threat is that of cyber attacks, particularly from China. It would be foolish to sit back and let technology outpace our defenses. A proactive approach to security is the best approach. The Pentagon needs to be a leader in this area.

  • The Future Is Online

So much is happening online nowadays, we should be expanding our Cyber Command programs. Terrorists, foreign spies, and corporate hackers will all be employing cyber tactics to attack both the U.S. government and civilians. We should have the best and brightest shielding us from these attacks and finding the perpetrators. The future is all online.

  • No, It Is Big Enough

The Pentagon does not need to expand anything in the military right now. They are bloated and over-funded as it is. While the U.S. Cyber Command may be a worthwhile program, the Pentagon can use the resources it already has. They just need to be more stream lined and efficient. You can do a lot with a little when it comes to the internet.
