Does the Purge movies have a realistic political undertone and theme?

  • Like a moving political cartoon...

The subtle political aspects of the Purge 1 and 2 are rarely mentioned by critics. The fact that the man guy in the Purge: Anarchy has "God" written on his mask, which is saying that God is bringing us down, the national anthem playing in the background, the gun ownership exactly what the NRA want it to be, the fact the politicians are made untouchable, as they are now, and the general feeling of danger in our country.
