Donald Trump has had a solid stance up until recent months on what he thought on illegal immigrants. However, he recently made comments that maybe the goal would be to send back only "the bad ones" with him also suggesting that maybe pardoning some illegal immigrants wouldn't be such a bad idea.
Despite being labeled a racist for some controversial comments he made about Muslims and other immigrants, Donald Trump has discussed a plan to provide amnesty to otherwise law-abiding immigrants. His plan is not as broad as the amnesty program that many people associate with providing amnesty to immigrants, but it is an amnesty program.
Trump has flip flopped on his stance on immigration several times lately, apparently to test what works best with voters since he's flailing so badly in the polls. His vague policy talks as of late allude to a more lax immigration policy, but his hardcore supporters seemed to turn on him because of it. Ultimately, he'll say and do whatever his campaign thinks will work to get his poll numbers up. But if he decides to support amnesty, he'll lose his most ardent supporters.
Despite Trumps quickly moving opinions on what to do about undocumented immigrants, he has never supported amnesty. His stated policy is to deport all 11 million undocumented immigrants very quickly. He has recently added that he would do it compassionately, but no one seems to know what that means. Since he started campaigning for president, he has never stated support amnesty.
