Does wealth inequality lead to social instability and violence?

Asked by: borntoolate
  • Wealth inequality can lead to loss of faith in society, and pursuit of alternative ideologies may lead to antisocial behavior

Many individuals live on a day-by-day basis, that is, with very limited wealth. When economic pressures rise, some of these individuals will struggle to control their daily lives, and may begin to loose faith in society. In the absence of societal faith, these individuals may adopt alternative ideologies, including, but not limited to, crime and radical fundamentalism.
