Dutch Trains Now Run on Renewable Energy: Is the US doing enough to combat climate change?

  • No responses have been submitted.
  • No, the US need to do more for climate change.

I believe that the US needs to take more responsibility for climate change. As such a large country, with such a huge amount of emissions they need to be following the precedent set by others countries in using renewable energy sources to prevent the effects of climate change due to emissions from fossil fuels.

  • No, the US isn't doing enough to combat climate change

Rather than passing strict emissions laws and legislation that would force the auto industry to adopt renewal energy, we are drilling more oil in vulnerable natural lands. I don't have much hope that things will change in the next four years and I am worried that we have already damaged the planet past the point of return.

  • No, the U.S. does not seem to be making as much effort at combating climate change as other countries.

No, the U.S. does not seem to be making as much effort at combating climate change as other countries. For a country with as many financial, educational and research resources, it would seem likely that the U.S. would be a world leader in climate change innovations. We need to get on board and take it more seriously.

  • No, they can always do more.

When a good portion of the United States government denies that climate change exists or is caused by humans, it is difficult to make changes to fight climate change. President Obama tried to do something about it, but all of his efforts will likely be erased by an administration that is proudly ignorant of the effects of climate change.
