East Bay is the new center of manufacturing industry. Developers have shifted from office construction to warehouse construction as there is increased demand for this facilities as a result of industrial growth. The demand for industrial space has outdone the supply as manufactures throne in East Bay to establish their firms.
I do not think that East Bay is the new center of the manufacturing industry. Although this area is certainly up and coming, it is not the center. There are many other areas in America and in other countries around the globe that are more important to manufacturing, so East Bay isn't at the top yet.
No, East Bay is not the new center of the manufacturing industry. While the east coast has seen some increases in the number of manufacturing jobs available, it is still far behind the west coast in terms of how big the presence of the manufacturing industry is. However, if the east continues to increase the availability of manufacturing jobs, it has the potential to replace the west as the center of the manufacturing industry.
As San Francisco continues to become wealthier and Oakland continues to gentrify, the tech haven that these cities embody will need to expand. Rent prices are going up in the Bay Area, so it only makes sense that the people working in the tech industry to spread out to the East Bay, pushing out manufacturing.
