The EU constitution reform treaty known as the Libson Treaty, will greatly improve EU internal security. It has brought a lot of the EU nations together and allows them to work in a fast and effective manner. With this new treaty, will allow EU to have much better internal security.
The Lisbon Treaty laid the groundwork for a common defense if such a measure is approved by member nations. Consolidating the High Representative position as it relates to foreign policy and security should make security decisions easier within Europe. Consolidated defense forces should be used to defuse internal security threats in addition to possible incursions by foreign powers.
