European Commission says Europe needs its own army rather than depending on the U.S. since Trump was elected: Should other countries assume the U.S. will provide no security or military support?
  • Yes they should

The US is neck deep in debt, and yet the previous Presidents think we can just go help other countries in war and use money to do that we don't even have. We fight in nonsensical wars. The United Nations says its their "job" to help other countries but just turn right around and give that invitation to the United States. It's about time another country steps up and helps out in foreign affairs. It's always the United States and under the Trump Administration we'll hopefully pull out of the UN so we can stop funding the nonsensical wars that don't effect us. We're running through money faster than Usain Bolt runs his 100 meter. Other nations problems that don't concern us isn't our military duty.

  • Yes, it seems reasonable for other countries to assume the U.S. will not provide security or military support now that Trump has been elected.

Yes, it seems reasonable for other countries to assume the U.S. will not provide security or military support now that Trump has been elected. Trump has been very clear that he does not think the U.S. should be providing the majority of military support around the world. It is reasonable to expect a lack of U.S. support. It would not be wrong to fear a battle with the U.S. as well, or an insurgence of terrorism.

  • Yes, they should

Trumps army will participate in wars, and they are going to be huge wars. But they are going to be random, nonsensical wars that contridict themselves and they will be a disaster. So yes, other countries should rely on their own armies to protect them from whoever their enemies are

  • Other countries should not depend on U.S. military support.

It is in each country's best interest to set up its own army and not depend on the U.S. military. Trump will support his own interests and that may not include protection of other nations. The United States should continue to aid other nations with security against threats, but those countries should not depend on outside support.

  • yes, I think so.

Europe has been bogged down with a US presence since 1945, just cannot get these unwanted houseguests to realize they have overstayed their welcome. Since 45, what have they actually done with their presence in Europe...Europe has gotten along with itself without incident, none of us have gone to war against each other. Only the Americans have been taking advantage of our hospitality to launch their wars and attacks from, to sell us their weapons to fight their wars for them at our expense! Let's hope Trump calls them all back home to be with their friends and families where they belong.
