Falkland Islands, return of: Is it necessary for Britain to continue its occupation of the islands?

  • Yes, because it's the will of the people

Yes, Britain should continue to keep the Falkland Islands under their control. Just the year the people of the island voted and nearly 100% of the vote was to stay British. There are only 3,000 people living on the island and I think it's mostly a non-issue, but give the people what they want right?

  • It is not necessary for Britain to continue its occupation of the islands.

The age of Britain colonialism is over. The British should give back the islands to Argentina. The islands are clearly part of South America. There is no reason for a European country to cling to old ideas of colonialism and refuse to give back a small area of land to its rightful owner.
