First Monkeys with Autism Created in China: Is scientific experimenting with animals immoral?

  • One answer! Stop animal testing!

This is outrageous! Animal testing should be illegal. Yes, we may need to make a few sacrifices but think about what is morally right: rather than thinking whats best for us. As you said that monkeys are relatively the same as us, this means we should save them. Use them: not to our advantage, but to marvel at or discover new things about them. We are so lucky to have different species on our planet. Imagine a world without animals. The world would be begging to discover new life and other things. So instead of using them: killing them, let us be grateful for what we have. If they started killing us (let us pretend that they were superior) our lives would be tarnished and we could do nothing about it. Think about how they feel

  • OUTRAGEOUS ARGUMENT! How can you even argue over this, there is only one answer! SOP ANIMAL TESTING

  • In the pursuit of science, as long as animal experimentation has a negligible chance negatively impacting humans, most actions are acceptable.

In order to further our understanding of genetics, animal testing is an acceptable procedure. What if we could reduce or even eliminate autism in humans? Sacrifices will always be necessary to reach a worthy goal. Ask yourself; how did we create a polio vaccine? We didn't use monkeys, we used humans. Be thankful that we have an organism that's so genetically similar to humans that we can use them for basically anything and receive accurate results. If China were doing this to humans, you'd all be screaming bloody murder. As it is, we're debating it on an online forum, while enjoying the comforts life offers us, in the relative safety of our own homes. Even those who would oppose me would obviously rather talk about it than do anything about themselves. Which makes all of my potential opponents hypocrites by default. People want science. They want to cure Cancer and Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Let's face it; animal testing is the way to go.
