It is an outrage that Flint, Michigan still does not have clean water. The state should be doing everything in its power to bring clean water to the citizens of Fling. This is a perfect example of where the government and politician's interests lie. Whatever can be done should be done and quickly.
Yes, veterans should demand clean water. As one of the basic human rights, clean water should be accessible by everyone. It is unfortunate that we have come to this, to the point that even the army veterans have to protest and ask for clean water. It would seem that the government is there when it needs to send people to war, but it is very slow and deaf when it needs to provide normal peace-time life.
Yes, victims of the Flint water crisis should receive help from veterans. Since most people affected by this tragedy are poor and/or black, they are mostly being ignored by the general public and the media. Since veterans are seen as virtually God-like by many people, they should use their influence to help in this situation.
Injustice and wrongdoings should be the target of every human, citizen, person who is concerned abut his or her own safety and freedom. We applaud veterans or anyone who wants to stand up for justice, fairness and clean environment, and one of the most basic rights, clean water and non toxic air.
