People have the tendency to flush everything down the toilet. Educating people is not a solution to stopping wipes from being flushed down the toilet. Creating a flushable wipe is more feasible and will work much better than an education campaign. People want something that is easy, not something that requires a lot of effort.
If these so-called "flushable" wipes aren't really flushable, then they shouldn't be labeled as such. I don't think we need to spend a ton of money trying to educate people not to flush them. They simply need to be labeled in a way that warns people not to flush them and ruin the septic and sewer systems.
This is largely a wive's tale. There is no reason that these wipes can't be flushed. If someone has a problem with their sewer, that is their own problem. These wipes are small and they go down just like any other piece of toilet paper. People should be allowed to do what they want with trash.
The bible says "an eye for an eye", but if killing is wrong how can it be made right with the killing of the perpetrator? It might seem just when emotions are high, but it will never be truly satisfying knowing that the loved one can never return, and their killer is gone and can no longer learn to regret their actions.
